Easy picnic ideas

Picnics are a staple signature of British summer. They’re a brilliant way to take time to appreciate the outdoors in the warmer months, in the company of good food and drink.These easy picnic ideas will be the talk of any alfresco gathering.


Dips are a natural addition to any picnic – make in advance and transport in a cool bag.  Serve with our Sourdough Flatbreads –  the perfect vehicle for any dip providing a crunchy contrast to the dips.

Artichoke, Lemon & Parsley dip  – one that can be made well in advance of any gathering. An extremely versatile dish that works well with our flatbreads or crispbreads.

Beetroot Hummus – a colourful addition to a picnic and very simple to make. Also, it’s a great way to use up leftover beetroot.

Tzatziki dip – brilliant for summer entertaining, this dip is cooling & creamy and works well with our Sea Salt Flatbreads.

Roast Carrot & Miso Dip from Ed Smith – Food writer, Ed Smith created this delicious Carrot & Miso dip recipe for us. A great option for a picnic.


Our Sourdough Bites provide a flavoursome alternative to crisps. They’re baked not fried, are under 100kcal per serving and have 60% less fat than regular potato crisps. Generously seasoned with all-natural ingredients for a moreish snack with bold flavour. The ultimate inclusion to any picnic!
