Our Team

Peter’s Yard is uniquely defined by the people who work there and the customers who visit us.

We have a great team of bakers, baristas and bright friendly staff. We like to attract skilled individuals, who have strong personalities and lots of integrity. People with a passion for what we are doing; people who are clever, keen and willing to invest extra time and energy to ensure that our customers get what they want.

Being a company of Swedish heritage, we have created a little piece of Sweden in Edinburgh. This is reflected in the Norrgavel furniture, the style of our décor and our selection of food. It means we always love having a few Swedes in our team but anyone who cares about great food and service, is welcome to join us.

The most important member of our team is Swedish master baker, Jan Hedh. Jan  has published numerous cookery books on bread, jams, cakes, chocolate and ice cream. We are very lucky to be able to use his recipes and are inspired by his enthusiasm for what we do.
